    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, adjust the ignition to accy and use the Wiper Switch to set it to delay, and then make sure the ignition is off after the wiper arms stop in the innerwipe position and are not moving. Take off the washer hose from the nozzle, take off the cover from the Wiper Arm nut, and take out the nut from the pivot shaft. Pull the Wiper Arm off the wiper transmission drive shaft using Wiper Arm puller (J 39822), and then take off the Wiper Blade from the arm. Take a soft wire brush and clean the knurls on the wiper transmission pivot shaft. Put the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm first and after that install the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission pivot shaft. Hold the driver side Wiper Arm blade tip to the marker on the passenger side of the glass when tightening the nut, and follow the same step on the passenger side with the Wiper Blade tip against the driver side glass mark. Screw the Wiper Arm nut onto the wiper transmission pivot shaft and use 48 n.m (35 lb ft) of torque to tighten it. Put the cap over the Wiper Arm nut, apply some windshield washer solvent to the hose for better fitting onto the nozzle, and attach the hose to the nozzle. Check the wipers to be sure they work as they should.
