After removing the Flywheel along with the en-43653 tool users must brush away the thread adhesive from the Flywheel bolt holes using a nylon bristle brush. Position the new balancing Flywheel onto the Crankshaft before securely tightening its provided bolts. You should reinstall the en-43653 tool during the bolt-tightening process to stop rotation from happening. Through use of the en-45059 (Angle Meter) tighten Flywheel bolts to 53 nm (39 lb ft) together with a 25 degree additional turn. Finish the procedure by taking out the en-43653 tool before reinstalling the transaxle.

The service and repair of the flex plate along with engine Flywheel replacement requires both crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) and angle meter (J 45059) tools. Start the process by taking the automatic transmission out of place. At this time install the crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) to the crankshaft balancer so that the flexplate remains stationary during bolt removal while an assistant fixes it in place using a breaker bar. To gain adequate contact on thin-headed flexplate bolts it becomes necessary to cut off the chamfer from an 18-mm socket. Use the crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) to keep the flexplate from rotating when removing the bolts and discard used bolts because new ones need installation. Extent orientation between flexplate and crankshaft is unnecessary because flexplate balancing is conducted individually. The thread adhesive needs clear-up from the Flywheel bolt holes using a nylon bristle brush following flexplate removal. The crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) maintains flexplate motionlessness during new flexplate bolt torque application for installation. Set the new automatic transmission in place by screwing flexplate bolts to 53 n.m (39 lb ft) and 25 degrees beyond specifications with angle meter (J 45059).

A mechanic must take out the transaxle before starting the engine Flywheel replacement task. An assistant should use (J 38122-A) and a breaker bar to install them to the crankshaft balancer to keep the Flywheel from spinning when removing the Flywheel bolts. An assistant should use (J 38122-A) and a breaker bar attached to the crankshaft balancer to stop the crankshaft rotation during Flywheel bolt tightening. Use (J 45059) tool to tighten Flywheel bolts to 53 nm (39 lb ft) and achieve an additional 25-degree angle. After you detach the (J 38122-A) along with the breaker bar put the transaxle into position.
