    Q:
How to replace the drive belt on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Drive Belt requires removal of both the intake manifold cover and air cleaner. Unlock the Drive Belt tensioner by turning it clockwise until tension from the spring is removed. After extracting the belt from the tensioner pulley and all other pulleys you can pull it out from the vehicle. Drill the new Drive Belt onto the vehicle starting by the generator before routing it past all pulleys except for the tensioner. The Drive Belt tensioner requires another clockwise rotation to free the spring tension allowing installation of the belt around the tensioner. Reinstall both the intake manifold cover and the air cleaner as the last step.
