    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the ABS Control Module replacement by turning off the Ignition Switch because doing so stops equipment damage. The first step is to remove the red locking tab from the connector lock tab. After that release lock tab by pushing down and move the connector cover to disconnect the ABS Control Module harness connector. Clean the assembly first then remove the four ABS Control Module to bpmv retainers by using proper care to avoid damage to either the bpmv surface or solenoid valves while separating them. During reinstallation of the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv surface users must first use alcohol cleaning solution with a fresh rag to clean the bpmv area. Follow the installation of four retainers to bolt down the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv while tightening them to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). Complete the ABS Control Module harness connector then depress the lock tab before sliding the connector cover back into its locked position and placing the red lock tab. Conclude with switching the ignition to the run position without starting the engine to execute diagnostic system check - abs.
