Start Antenna Cable replacement by removing the passenger side carpet retainer then the center pillar lower trim panel after opening the passenger door. First accessible the wiring harness through carpet adjustments then disconnect the coaxial Antenna Cable from the antenna extension lead and trim the visible end of the coaxial Antenna Cable . After removing the carpet you can reach the Antenna Base through the rear compartment opening. Disconnect the coaxial antenna lead from the Antenna Base and cut off the visible end of the coaxial Antenna Cable. During installation mount the new coaxial Antenna Cable into the vehicle by securing the antenna extension cable to intervals of the main wiring harness at least every 150 mm (6 in) with electrical tape. Complete the Antenna Base connection with the coaxial antenna lead while you reposition the carpet then finish by closing the rear compartment lid. Connect the coaxial Antenna Cable to the antenna extension lead after securing the main body wiring harness and coaxial cable with carpet. Then replace the center pillar lower trim panel and passenger side carpet retainer before shutting the passenger door.

The replacement process begins with removing the passenger side carpet retainer from the passenger door and the center pillar lower trim panel from the vehicle. First access the wiring harness by adjusting the carpet and then disconnect the coaxial Antenna Cable from the antenna extension lead before cutting the visible part of the coaxial Antenna Cable . Open the rear compartment lid and move the carpet out of the way to reach the Antenna Base . Then disconnect the coaxial antenna lead from the Antenna Base and discard the visible end of the coaxial Antenna Cable . When installing the new coaxial Antenna Cable users must feed it into the vehicle while securing the antenna extension cable to the top of the main wiring harness with electrical tape arranged in intervals of at least 150 mm (6 in). After connecting the coaxial antenna lead to the Antenna Base you can reset the carpet and close the rear compartment lid. Reconnect the coaxial Antenna Cable to the antenna extension lead and wrap main body wiring harness and coaxial cable with carpet before reinstalling center pillar lower trim panel and passenger side carpet retainer before closing the passenger door.

Start by opening the passenger door before you remove the body hinge pillar garnish molding. First move the center pillar lower trim panel away for access to the wiring harness by adjusting the carpet if necessary. Separate the antenna extension lead from the main body harness coaxial cable . Access the Antenna Base by pulling back the rear compartment carpet through the opening rear trunk hatch and disconnecting the antenna lead from the Antenna Base. Truncate the visible antenna cables at both the rear compartment area and the front kick plate area. The new coaxial antenna cables should be routed into the vehicle and the antenna extension should be taped on top of the wiring harness with electrical tape positioned at least every 150 mm (6 in). Connect the Antenna Base to the coiled antenna lead and connect the antenna extension lead to the coaxial Antenna Cable . Fasten the main body wiring harness and coaxial cable underneath the carpet after placing the carpet correctly in the rear area and shutting the trunk lid. Reinstall the center pillar lower trim panel followed by the body hinge pillar garnish molding when the passenger door is ready to close.

Open the passenger door and remove the passenger side carpet retainer.

Install the right side carpet retainer and the two antenna extension cable rosebud retainers to the instrument panel, then reinstall the instrument panel storage compartment and the radio.

Pull back the carpet to access the antenna extension cable and disconnect it from the main body harness.
