    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for the Air Suspension Compressor begins with vehicle elevation. Organize a cleaning process for the Air Hose before taking it off from the intake Air Filter and Air Suspension Compressor because you want to stop dirt from getting inside the alc system. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer before removing the bolt and harness tie with the air tube from the Air Suspension Compressor bracket. Start by taking out the intake Air Filter followed by removing the Air Suspension Compressor's vehicle harness connector and disconnecting 2 bolts and 2 nuts which secure the compressor assembly to the vehicle. Detach the Air Suspension Compressor connector from its anchor point and remove two bolts securing them alongside the heat shield from the bracket then dismount the air dryer from the compressor. Detach the Air Suspension Compressor's Air Hose at two locations and subsequently remove two screws and brackets from the Air Suspension Compressor. To install the 2 brackets on the Air Suspension Compressor use 2 screws but tighten them to 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). The air dryer connects to the Air Suspension Compressor through two mounting points while the installation of the air dryer onto the compressor takes place. Fasten the heat shield to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket through three bolts, setting aside the fourth bolt until the air tube connection is complete, then tighten the bolts to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Re-establish the Air Suspension Compressor connector to the connector anchor before you put the Air Suspension Compressor assembly on the vehicle by tightening its 2 bolts with 2 nuts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). First, fit the Air Suspension Compressor connector to its matching harness connector then put on the intake Air Filter before installing the air tube to the air dryer. The air tube and harness tie assembly must be joined to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket through a bolt which requires tightening at 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Driving operations require a brief ignition activation followed by a 45-second wait to ensure sufficient air pressure fills the adjustable shock absorbers before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Air Suspension Compressor, one should first lift the vehicle. Prior to detaching the Air Hose from the intake Air Filter or the Air Suspension Compressor, clean the components and around them so that dirt does not go into the alc system. Just disengage the air tube from the air dryer, then make the bolt and harness tie-with air tube from the Air Suspension Compressor bracket, removed. Now, take off the intake Air Filter, the vehicle harness connector from the Air Suspension Compressor connector. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts as well as the Air Suspension Compressor assembly from the vehicle, then slide the Air Suspension Compressor connector from the connector anchor. These are the steps: remove 2 bolts and the heat shield from the Air Suspension Compressor bracket, and then take off the air dryer from the Air Suspension Compressor. Take off the Air Hose from the Air Suspension Compressor at two places and take off the two screws and two brackets of the Air Suspension Compressor. For installation, attach two brackets to the Air Suspension Compressor with two screws, tightening to 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Apply two air hoses to the Air Suspension Compressor and then mount the air dryer on the compressor. Mount the heat shield onto the Air Suspension Compressor bracket using three bolts, and do not tighten the fourth heat shield bolt until after setting the air tube and fasten it only to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Mount the final Air Suspension Compressor connector to the connector anchor and then secure the Air Suspension Compressor assembly on the vehicle with 2 nuts and 2 bolts. Make sure you tighten the nuts and bolts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Connect the harness connector to the Air Suspension Compressor connector along with installing the intake Air Filter in addition to connecting the air tube with the air dryer. Lastly, attach the air tube and the harness tie to an Air Suspension Compressor bracket with bolt, tightening it to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Before moving the vehicle, turn the ignition key and let it run for about 45 seconds to allow the air adjustable shock absorbers to be filled with a residual pressure, after which the vehicle can be lowered.
