The replacement process starts by removing the HVAC module assembly followed by extraction of the heater core pipes clamp screw and heater core pipes clamp . Begin by pulling off the heater core clamp screws then stripping the heater core clamp before extracting the heater core from the HVAC module. Add the heater core to the HVAC module assembly while applying the heater core clamp and fasten its screws at 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Use the heater core pipes clamp and its screw to attach them afterward tightening them to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) before reinstalling the HVAC module assembly.

The first step for heater core replacement requires HVAC module assembly extraction. You need to remove the clamp screw from both the heater core pipes and then the heater core pipes clamp itself. You must first eliminate the heater core clamp screws then unfasten the heater core clamp before pulling out the heater core from the HVAC module.
