    Q:
How to replace the wheel cylinder on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
Lift the vehicle to access the Wheel Cylinder and remove all brake shoes behind it first. To keep dirt out protect the Brake Line opening using a plug when disconnecting it from the Wheel Cylinder. Unbolt the Wheel Cylinder and set it off the backing plate to move forward. After positioning the new Wheel Cylinder on the backing plate simply attach it with the mounting bolts and tighten them to 13 ft. Lbs. (18 Nm). Push the Brake Line rubber plug aside and link it to the Wheel Cylinder before placing the Brake Line fitting tightly at 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.). Put back the brake shoes at the back and you need to purge the brake system. Lift up the vehicle once work is finished and make sure your master cylinder holds enough brake fluid.

    Q:
How to properly service and replace a wheel cylinder on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the Wheel Cylinder replacement by raising the vehicle and taking out the rear brake shoes. When removing a Wheel Cylinder to avoid brake damage plug the Brake Line before disconnecting it. Remove all mounting bolts on the Wheel Cylinder then detach the unit from the backing plate. Join the new Wheel Cylinder onto the backing plate and fasten it with the mounting bolts before applying 18 n.m (13 lb ft) of torque. Insert the Brake Line into the Wheel Cylinder and fasten it with a 19 n.m torque setting (14 lb ft). Replace the parts then install the new brake shoes while using proper bleeding methods for the brake system before testing the fluid level in the brake master cylinder.

How to replace the wheel cylinder on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
First lift the vehicle before starting the Wheel Cylinder replacement. Take off the rear Brake Shoe parts before disconnecting the Brake Line from the Wheel Cylinder and plugging it to stop contaminants from entering. Take off the Wheel Cylinder by first unthreading the mounting bolts then removing it from the backing plate. Secure the new Wheel Cylinder onto the backing plate by placing its mounting bolts and tightening them to 13 lb ft (18 N.m). Fit the Brake Line fitting to the Wheel Cylinder and secure it with 19 n.m final torque (14 lb ft). You should install the new brake shoes in the rear and perform proper brake system bleeding procedures. Bring the vehicle down to the ground and measure the master cylinder reservoir level for fluid.
