Beginning the seat belt replacement in crew cabs requires initial removal of both the rear seat shoulder belt guide cover together with the body rear trim panel. The next step involves bolting out the reinforcement point which connects the rear center seat belt assembly with the floor panel before you can remove the assembly from the vehicle. The rear center seat belt assembly must be placed on the floor panel before installing the bolt while tightening it to 52.5 N.m (39 lb ft). The rear center seat belt webbing should pass through the guide loop without creating a twist before proceeding. The final steps involve putting back the rear body trim panel combined with the rear seat shoulder belt guide cover.

Production of a crew cab demands initial removal of both the rear seat shoulder belt guide cover and the body rear trim panel to proceed with center rear seat belt replacement. The bola securing the rear center seat belt assembly to the floor panel should be removed before the assembly can be taken out of the vehicle. Placement of the rear center seat belt assembly starts with the floor panel where you must follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Fasten the rear center seat belt assembly to the floor panel using the bolt and apply a torque of 52.5 N.m (39 lb ft). When installing the rear center seat belt webbing through its guide loop ensure it maintains a straight path without any twist. Reinstall both the body rear trim panel alongside the rear seat shoulder belt guide cover.

The safety of the seat belt system requires immediate inspection followed by necessary repairs after colliding with another object. Seat belts used during severe collisions must get replaced because the automatic defense system shows deployment signals. All passenger seat belt systems including LATCH system and top tether anchorages among others need replacement after a collision. The replacement policy includes all elements of seat belts including adult seat belts together with integrated child safety restraints and LATCH system parts when they exhibit wear or damage or torn conditions. The seat belt system requires replacement when "REPLACE" or "CAUTION" words appear or when a yellow tag exists although the absence of the child seat caution label does not warrant replacement. All restraint systems meant for infant and child security should be replaced whenever there exists any uncertainty regarding their condition. The complete seat belt system requires replacement after any collision incident because replacement must include the buckle alongside the guide and retractor assembly plus the latch and webbing material. After minor collisions with no automatic restraint deployments, seat replacement becomes necessary only when parts show torn, worn or damaged conditions.

Install the front seat belt upper guide with the bolt, ensuring the seat belt webbing is not twisted, and tighten the front seat belt upper guide bolt to 52.5 Nm (39 lb ft).

Finally, enable the SIR system.

Install the front seat mounting bolt and tighten it to 52.5 N.m (39 lb ft).

Remove the body rear corner trim panel, noting that on extended cab models, the front seat belt retractor/pretensioner is located in the rear door.

Ensure the webbing is not twisted as it is routed up through the guide loop.

Take out the bolt that secures the rear center seat belt assembly to the floor panel and remove the assembly from the vehicle.

Remove the rear inboard seat bolt from the passenger seat.

First, disable the SIR system.

Remove the center seat belt assembly.

Take out the front seat belt assembly from the vehicle.

Reinstall the body rear trim panel and the rear seat shoulder belt guide cover.

First, remove the rear inboard seat bolt from the passenger seat and take out the grommet that secures the center seat belt assembly to the seat adjuster.

Open the front seat belt upper guide shoulder bolt trim cover and remove the front seat belt upper guide shoulder bolt.
