Use a J25070 heat gun at 152 mm from the emblem to warm it for 30 seconds in circular motions until the emblem/nameplate peel off from the side panel. Use a flat plastic tool to remove the emblem/nameplate. Take off all residue from the body panel and emblem using 3M P/N 07501 or similar product. Use soap and water to wash the damaged surface and dry it using a soft fabric. Apply 3M(R) General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or an equivalent to remove remaining adhesive before wiping the panel with a clean lint-free cloth dipped in a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water solution. Using masking tape or a magnetic strip locate the spot which must place the emblem/nameplate 35.0 mm within 2 mm range from one vertical edge and 1125.0 mm within 2 mm range from the horizontal plane as well as 35.0 mm within 2 mm range from the second vertical edge. Warm the panel using J 25070 when body temperature remains under 19°C (66°F). Pick one of the 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape options: 06380 (white), 06377 (black), or 06382 (gray) but handle and place the tape surfaces directly on clean surfaces. After removing the backing press the emblem/nameplate against the masking tape or magnetic strip for 30 seconds and then press firmly for 30 seconds to secure the piece before taking off the tape or strip.

Apply tape around the area for protection and alignment.

Remove the radiator grille.

A double-coated acrylic foam tape such as 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape or an equivalent.

Clean the door panel surface and the back of the emblem/nameplate to remove all adhesive.

Ensure not to touch the tape with your hands or allow it to contact dirt.

Carefully peel the emblem/nameplate from the panel with a flat-bladed plastic tool.

Use 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501) or an equivalent product.

Apply a double-coated acrylic foam tape such as 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape or an equivalent, choosing from 3M(R) 06380 (white backing), 3M(R) 06377 (black backing), or 3M(R) 06382 (gray backing).

Apply tape for guidance.

Remove all adhesive from both the body panel and the back of the emblem/nameplate using 3M(R) P/N 07501 or an equivalent.

Wash it with soap and water, then dry it with a lint-free cloth.

Wash the affected panel with soap and water, and dry it with a lint-free cloth.
