Use soap and water to wash the damaged surface and dry it using a soft fabric. Apply 3M(R) General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or an equivalent to remove remaining adhesive before wiping the panel with a clean lint-free cloth dipped in a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water solution. Using masking tape or a magnetic strip locate the spot which must place the emblem/nameplate 35.0 mm within 2 mm range from one vertical edge and 1125.0 mm within 2 mm range from the horizontal plane as well as 35.0 mm within 2 mm range from the second vertical edge. Warm the panel using J 25070 when body temperature remains under 19°C (66°F). Pick one of the 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape options: 06380 (white), 06377 (black), or 06382 (gray) but handle and place the tape surfaces directly on clean surfaces. After removing the backing press the emblem/nameplate against the masking tape or magnetic strip for 30 seconds and then press firmly for 30 seconds to secure the piece before taking off the tape or strip.
