    Q:
How to replace the muffler on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
After first raising and supporting your vehicle make sure to support the Catalytic Converter to stop its flexible coupling from damage and maintain vertical movement under 6 degrees. A utility stand will support the Catalytic Converter before you remove the rear axle Tie Rod. The support and Tie Rod should lower together. Start by disconnecting both the Catalytic Converter nuts and gasket and moving to the removal of exhaust hanger insulators from the exhaust pipes. After positioning the exhaust pipes and Muffler in front of the vehicle and across the rear axle you need to clean both the Muffler flange and the Catalytic Converter flange. Position the Muffler with exhaust pipes over the rear axle so they face towards the back of the vehicle then install exhaust hanger insulators and reattach the rear axle Tie Rod. Install a fresh Catalytic Converter Gasket before securing the converter nuts with a torque of 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs.) when you lower the vehicle back down.

    Q:
How to Replace an Exhaust Pipe on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the exhaust crossover pipe requires disconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable. Draining coolant from the cooling system should follow after both the throttle body air inlet duct and the throttle body air inlet duct removal. You need to detach the engine inlet Radiator Hose followed by disconnecting the thermostat bypass pipe from the engine. Start by removing bolts securing the exhaust crossover heat shield and they shield itself then proceed with exhausting crossover pipe studs/nuts before taking off the pipe. Start the installation process by installing the exhaust crossover pipe while tightening its bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Continent by installing the exhaust crossover heat shield while using bolts that need tightening to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Replacing the bypass pipe will be accompanied by radiator inlet hose connection to the engine before finishing with a coolant fill of the cooling system. As the last step reinstall the throttle body air inlet duct before reconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable.
