The replacement of the exhaust crossover pipe needs a starting point of disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by removing the throttle body air duct. First remove coolant drain from the cooling system and disconnect the engine side of the inlet Radiator Hose and the thermostat bypass pipe. After removing the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts you can remove the heat shield before proceeding to remove the exhaust crossover pipe studs/nuts and pipe. When installing the exhaust crossover pipe you must first review the fastener notice for the right installation process. Fasten the exhaust crossover pipe using the provided studs and nuts while tightening them to a torque value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Position the exhaust crossover heat shield back in place before fastening its bolts and torquing them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Attach the engine with thermostat bypass pipe alongside the inlet Radiator Hose. Conclude by installing the throttle body air inlet duct followed by reconnecting the negative cable of the battery.

Service of the exhaust crossover pipe requires users to first detach the battery ground (negative) cable. The procedure starts with the disc-connection of the throttle body air inlet duct before moving onto the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts for removal along with the heat shield. The following step requires removal of the exhaust crossover pipe bolts and subsequent removal of the crossover pipe itself. The first step for installation requires placing the exhaust crossover pipe into position while following fastener precautions. Fasten the exhaust crossover pipe using bolts while applying torque to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The exhaust crossover heat shield requires reattachment through bolt installation where each bolt should be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). The final step of the replacement is to reattach the throttle body air inlet duct before reinstalling the battery ground (negative) cable.

Secure it with bolts and nuts, tightening them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Place the exhaust crossover pipe in position, following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Reattach the exhaust crossover heat shield and its bolts, ensuring they are tightened to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.

Take out the exhaust crossover pipe bolts and remove the exhaust crossover pipe.

Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing and remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing.

Reinstall the exhaust crossover heat shield and its bolts, tightening them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Install the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield and its bolts.

Remove the throttle body air inlet duct and drain the coolant from the cooling system.

Attach the intermediate pipe to the hanger.

The exhaust crossover heat shield bolts and the heat shield itself.

Reinstall the air cleaner intake duct and the fuel injector sight shield.

Position the exhaust crossover pipe and secure it with the nuts, tightening them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Install the muffler to the intermediate pipe bolts, tightening these to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.), and then lower the vehicle.

Cut the exhaust pipe from the exhaust mufflers and remove it from the vehicle.

The exhaust crossover pipe nuts and the pipe.

Tighten them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Attach the intermediate pipe to the hanger and the three-way catalytic converter.

Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield nuts and the heat shield itself.

Reinstall the thermostat bypass pipe, attach the inlet radiator hose to the engine, fill the cooling system with engine coolant, and finally, reinstall the throttle body air inlet duct.

Reattach the inlet radiator hose to the engine.

Install the exhaust crossover pipe, ensuring to tighten the studs/nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.
