    The replacement process for the monte carlo front side door Window Regulator starts with making a 6.3 mm (1/4 in) gap at the top of the front door window before taping it to the frame. Begin by removing the front door trim panel together with the front door water deflector followed by the inner energy absorber. Remove the front window from its attachment to the front Window Regulator carrier plate while disconnecting the electronic connector from front Window Regulator motor. Begin by loosening the bolts on the front Window Regulator motor before unfastening its top bolts while removing its lower bolts from the front Window Regulator rail. Generate an opening in front door inner panel by lifting the front Window Regulator through key slots and out of the rear access hole. Install first the two top Window Regulator bolts halfway into both the front Window Regulator rail and motor before sliding the front Window Regulator rail and motor through the rear access hole. Fit the front Window Regulator bolts into their respective key positions on the slots and tighten the front Window Regulator motor and rail fasteners to 10 nm (89 lb in). Attach the front window tape to the front regulator carrier plate before rejoining the electric connector that powers the motor. To finish the installation slot in the inner energy absorber and the front door water deflector and place the front door trim panel.
