See to the removal of the lower hinge spring by using the Door Hinge Spring Compressor (J 36604) for this operation. The replacement requires removing all hinge bolts that link the lower hinge to both the door and hinge pillar before extracting the lower door hinge. The installer should position the new hinge by following the door marks and should add the bolts to the specified order before tightening them to 30 N.m (22 lb ft). Set the hinge at the corresponding marks on the pillar before attaching bolts at the same positions and tighten each to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
