How to replace the rear side door hinge on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
The rear side door hinge replacement process begins by opening the front door then you must change the hinges one by one without opening the rear door. Take off the hinge to body bolts then secure the studplate to protect it from entering the door cavity after which remove the hinge to door nuts . Remove the hinge by rotating its body side against the body direction. First position the hinge over the mounting studs found on the door before rotating its body portion into the pillar. After orientation while tightening the bolts the hinge to door nuts require setting torque at 34 N.m (25 lb ft) and the hinge to body bolts require torque set at 30 N.m (22 lb ft). Apply body color paint to fix any damaged parts on the hinge and fasteners before properly adjusting the door alignment for front door closure.
