A/C Hoses

Recovery of refrigerant from the system constitutes the first step before installing the new discharge hose. Begin by taking out the upper filler panel before ending the connection between the discharge hose and the condenser. Lift the vehicle before separating the front air deflector while supporting the structure until all components are accessible. You must detach both the discharge hose from the compressor as well as the electrical connector from the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor before you can start to remove the discharge hose. Install the new discharge hose by connecting it to the compressor while applying torque of 20 n.m with the baseline of 15 lb ft. The procedure requires connecting the electrical connector to the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor followed by lowering the vehicle before attaching the discharge line to the condenser while tightening the accumulator line fitting to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The technician must use the halogen leak detector (J 39400) to test the components' fittings after system recharge and leak testing. Finish by placing back the front air deflector as well as the upper filler panel.

Install the new discharge hose and connect it to the compressor, tightening the discharge hose fastener to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

Disconnect the evaporator hose assembly from the evaporator core.

Install the upper filler panel.

First, recover the refrigerant from the system.

Install the new discharge hose, ensuring to connect it to the compressor and tighten it to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Connect it to the condenser, tightening it to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Reinstall the hydraulic brake booster, master cylinder, and temperature sensor electrical connector, recharge the A/C system, and install the upper filler panel.

Inspect the sealing washers for damage and replace any that are compromised, as they do not require lubricant.
