    In order to replace the Thermostat housing (LX9), drain the cooling system, take away the air cleaner outlet duct, and remove the surge tank hose from the coolant outlet. Then unscrew the bolts that secure the Thermostat housing to the Intake Manifold and pull off the housing outlet as well as the Thermostat. In installation, start off with placing the Thermostat & housing outlet with strict adherence to fastener notice on service pre- cautions installing the Thermostat housing bolts and tighten to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs). Then, put the air cleaner outlet duct back, fill the cooling system, and check for leaks.
