Vehicles equipped with direct fuel injection (VIN V) need service of their oil level indicator and tube by starting with required removal of the front compartment sight shield. You must first disconnect the oil level indicator from its attachment to the oil level indicator tube while also removing the tube bolt. Lower the vehicle by removing the engine splash shield after that. You must pull the oil level indicator tube carefully through the exhaust manifold space. The procedure requires disposal of the previous oil level indicator tube seal whenever the seal repair by itself is the only task. The first step of installation requires positioning the oil level indicator along with the tube before reinstalling the engine splash shield. Finally install the front compartment sight shield if required before raising the vehicle once more.

The first step to replace the ly7 vin 7 oil level indicator and tube requires shutting off the ignition and taking off the necessary front compartment sight shield. Begin by removing both the oil level indicator from tube then extracting the tube bolt. The Knock Sensor must be removed while the vehicle is in the raised position before you can detach the heat shield clip from the oil level indicator tube. Observe where the secondary heat shield exists on the oil level indicator tube before extracting the tube from the Exhaust Manifold. The task involves replacing only the oil level indicator tube seal so discard the removed seal. The installation requires placing the secondary heat shield properly on the oil level indicator tube before you install both the oil level indicator and tube. After installing the Knock Sensor and heat shield clip you must lower the vehicle and restore the front compartment sight shield if required.
