    Q:
How to service and repair the Exhaust Hanger on Chevrolet Uplander? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for servicing and repairing the Exhaust Pipe/muffler hanger begins with properly raising the vehicle then supporting it correctly. The service requires removal of exhaust insulators from the exhaust system and all hanger brackets whenever needed. The service and repair of Exhaust Hanger systems requires removing Exhaust Hanger bolts, hangers and catalytic converter hanger bolts as well as hangers and tailpipe hanger bolts and hangers at this stage. You should start installing by placing the tail pipe hanger and bolts followed by tightening them to 35 n.m (26 lb ft). First install the second tail pipe hanger followed by its bolts then place the catalytic converter hanger along with its bolts followed by tightening both sets to 35 n.m (26 lb ft). Fit the exhaust system hanger together with its bolts according to an appropriate torque of 35 n.m (26 lb ft). After that, install the exhaust insulators to the exhaust system and hanger bracket(s) according to need before lowering the vehicle.
