Tail Lamp Assembly, Driver Side

You need to take off the lift gate applique to proceed with the back up lamp replacement. Twist the back up lamp bulb/sockets out of the applique by turning them against the clock and remove any back up lamp bulbs from their socket if needed. When replacing the back up lamp bulbs return them to their socket. Use clockwise rotation to place the back up lamp bulb/socket onto the applique before you install the lift gate applique.

To replace the tail lamp assembly or back up, sidemarker, stop, and turn signal bulb on the rendezvous, start with the opening of the liftgate and the removal of screws in the tail lamp. Slide the tail lamp rearward to clear it from the retainers on the rear body panel, then pull the tail lamp electrical connector from the tail lamp wiring harness. Remove the tail lamp and side marker lamp sockets by depressed the locking tab and turning counter clockwise, and remove the bulbs when they are changed. During installation, replace the new bulbs into the tail lamp and side marker lumps sockets and then fix the sockets into the tail lamp by turning till the locking tab is penetrated completely. Reconnect tail lamp to the wiring harness, line up the retainer slots with the tabs on the rear body panel and press tail lamp into place until it cannot be pushed any further. Attach this tail lamp to the body using screws which should be tightened up to 2 n.m (18 lb in) to the body lastly, closing the liftgate.

Align the tail lamp retainer slots with the tabs on the rear body panel and press the tail lamp into place until fully seated.
