    Q:
How to replace the Sway Bar Link (ZQ8, Z85) on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step when replacing the Sway Bar Link (ZQ8, Z85) should be raising and stabilizing your vehicle. The first step consists of taking out the tire and wheel from their position. Heftily rock the Sway Bar Link ball stud by means of the right wrench to remove the link nut before taking out the retaining nut between the sway bar and lower Control Arm. The Sway Bar Link should be removed from the vehicle after performing the initial steps. Install the Sway Bar Link by placing it on the lower Control Arm and sway bar before securing the corresponding Sway Bar Link nuts by hand. Additional care needs to be exercised for secure fastening procedures. A wrench of proper dimension should be used to grip the link Ball Joint which requires tightening the link nut to 44 nm (32 lb ft). After wrapping up, you should put on the tire followed by the wheel assembly and remove support equipment while lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Sway Bar Link (Z71) on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first installation step for Sway Bar Link (Z71) replacement requires vehicle lifting with adequate support. Take off the tire and wheel combination from the vehicle framework. Begin by removing the link nut at the lower Control Arm followed by securely holding the link ball stud with the proper wrench to remove the link nut positioned at the sway bar. Become ready to detach the Sway Bar Link from the sway bar as well as from the lower Control Arm. Begin by placing the Sway Bar Link into the lower Control Arm and sway bar followed by hand tightening lower link nut at both the lower Control Arm and the link nut at the sway bar. No fastener should be installed hastily due to risk of damaging the vehicle. Apply an appropriate wrench on the link ball stud to secure the link nut tightness at 44 nm (32 lb ft). Reinstall the tire together with the wheel assembly before removing the support while lowering the vehicle.
