    Q:
How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on Chevrolet Equinox? Posted by Customer
    A:
First support the vehicle at a height by use of a lift and then uninstall the rear tire assembly and wheel before you can start the Sway Bar Link replacement in the rear suspension. The sway bar clamp bolts need to be loosened while using a torx(R) bit to hold the ball shaft stable until the nut is removed. Begin by preventing the Sway Bar Link from rotating when you detach it with a wrench, subsequently take out the link by removing its lower Control Arm nut from the vehicle. The installation requires you to pass the Sway Bar Link through the lower Control Arm so you can prevent turning by using a wrench on the lower Control Arm nut which should get tightened to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). The installation of the Sway Bar Link begins with its placement onto the sway bar nut before tightening it to 57 n.m (42 lb ft). Reroute the sway bar clamps with 70 n.m (52 lb ft) torque before placing the rear tire and wheel assembly and letting the vehicle down.
