    A:
To remove the upper intermediate Steering Shaft, make sure the wheels are all the way straight ahead and the Steering Column is locked. Your first step should be installing the Steering Column anti-rotation pin (J 42640) into the Steering Column lower access hole. Unfasten the upper intermediate shaft that is linked to the Steering Column and then remove the connection. To install, connect the upper intermediate shaft to the Steering Column, attach the retaining nut and bolt to the Steering Column, and bringing the nut to a torque of 62n.m (46 ft-lbs). Lastly, install back the intermediate shaft bearing and take off the Steering Column anti-rotation pin (J 42640) from the Steering Column lower access hole.
