    Q:
How to balance the engine mount, motor and transmission mount on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the engine mount balance process by taking out the strut bolt and putting on the Engine Support Fixture. Users need to lift and support the vehicle through Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle maneuvers. The front engine mount lower nut and the rear engine mount lower nut along with the transmission mount to frame nuts should be left loose but not fully removed. The vehicle should be lowered to check that every mount shows no load. The engine support fixture helps users to elevate the powertrain mounts above the cradle before powertrain reset and engine support fixture removal. Raising the vehicle allows for installing the rear engine mount to cradle nut where torques must reach 80 N.m (59 lb ft). Place the rear transmission mount between cradle nuts then torque them to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). After that install and torque the front engine mount nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft). Lower the vehicle while checking that the torque strut generates no preforce when the transaxle selector sits in Park position on flat ground. When installing the torque strut bolt users must apply no side torque to the engine side bracket before thread insertion; preloaded torque struts need the rear body side bracket nut to be loosened first for strut readjustment. You should install the torque strut bolt after tightening both components to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
