    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose for the rack and pinion on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose requires front grille removal as the first step. The power steering outlet hose connected to the power steering gear and the power steering inlet hose attached to the Power Steering Pump must be removed first. After you detach the bolts which hold the cooler to the radiator support you can remove the Power Steering Cooler unit from your car. The Power Steering Cooler installation requires securing it to the vehicle by tightening bolts to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). Apply the power steering inlet hose to the Power Steering Pump before installing its retaining clamp. After attaching the power steering outlet hose to the power steering gear you must place the retaining clamp. Inspection for power steering system bleeding and leak testing of all hoses must happen before reinstalling the front grille.

    Q:
How to Replace a Power Steering Hose with Gas and Hydroboost on GMC Sierra 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacement of power steering gear outlet pipe/hose on vehicles with gas and hydroboost starts by placing drain pans under the vehicle based on the amount of required cleaning. Remove the clamp from the power steering fluid cooler hose that connects to the steering gear before taking out the hose from the gear. After that remove the power steering gear outlet pipe from the steering gear itself. First connect the power steering gear outlet pipe to the steering gear before installing the power steering fluid cooler hose along with its clamp to the steering gear . The worker should remove drain pans from the vehicle after cleaning away excessive fluid before refilling the power steering system properly.
