    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacement of the vacuum Brake Booster by detachment and placing the underhood electrical center out of its holding position. Carefully take off the master cylinder from its position on the hydraulic Brake Booster while maintaining the booster-exiting insulator in place. Separate the vacuum Brake Booster assembly by disconnecting its hose and valve connections before taking out the left closeout/insulator panel. Loosen the vacuum booster retaining nuts before working the booster pushrod off the Brake Pedal clevis pin without putting too much side pressure. Attach the new booster to its location after installing it and hook up the booster pushrod to the Brake Pedal. Tilt the booster slightly while you align the pushrod with the pedal clevis pin and assemble without pressuring the booster from the side. Secure the booster retaining nuts at 27 nm tension before putting back the left closeout/insulator panel. Start by linking the vacuum hose unit with the vacuum Brake Booster check valve to the booster as a single assembly before setting the master cylinder onto the booster and finally installing the master cylinder itself. Stand the underhood electrical center bracket in position and reconnect all parts of the underhood electrical center.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by taking out the air cleaner assembly followed by disconnecting both the underhood electrical center components from their bracket. Pull the master cylinder away from the hydraulic Brake Booster while checking to see if you have misplaced the foil insulator between these parts and the dashboard. Take off the left closeout panel to get the vacuum Brake Booster check valve installed together with the vacuum hose. Reposition the vacuum Brake Booster from the Brake Pedal to loosen the pushrod fingers from the pedal clevis pin without high side pressure. Install the booster in the vehicle before connecting the booster pushrod to the Brake Pedal through booster lowering and proper smooth pressure assembly. Secure the booster nuts at 27 nm torque before reinstalling the left cover parts panel. Attach the vacuum hose assembly including the check valve to the booster before installing both the booster and master cylinder pieces. End by setting the underhood electrical center bracket then joining the electrical parts back into the center and placing the air cleaner component.
