    Q:
How to replace the hydraulic brake booster on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by placing the parking brake then detach the inlet hose together with the steering gear and return hoses from the booster assembly. The next procedure includes removing the master cylinder followed by the stoplamp switch and Pushrod followed by the boosting to bulkhead nuts for removing the booster assembly together with its gasket. Begin the installation by placing the gasket before adding the booster assembly while securing the booster to bulkhead nuts at 36 nm (26 ft. Lbs.). The maintenance order includes reinstalling the stoplamp switch and Pushrod followed by the master cylinder then finalizing with return hose and steering gear and inlet hose connections. The hydraulic booster system requires bleeding as its final step. Be cautious when selecting fluids since power steering fluid is needed for hydraulic brake boosters yet brake fluid is required to protect seals in master cylinders and brake pipes.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet Suburban 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacement you should engage the park brake and block the wheels. Detach the Brake Master Cylinder and remove its vacuum hose connection at the Brake Booster check valve. Take both the brake pedal Pushrod retaining clip and stop lamp switch off the brake pedal stud by removing them in this order. Pull out the vacuum booster 4 mounting nuts then lift out the booster unit while getting rid of the old gasket. Install the new booster while placing its gasket in its proper position. Affix the 4 vacuum booster mounting nuts and fasten them to 36 nm torque which equates to 27 ft. Lbs. Torque. Position these parts in this order: pushrod then stop lamp switch to their proper place on the brake pedal stud and attach the Pushrod retaining clip. Attach the vacuum hose to the Brake Booster check valve and put back the master cylinder. Last of all let go of the park brake lock and free-up the wheels for movement.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on GMC Yukon XL 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the brake vacuum booster replacement by pressing the parking brake then taking out the Brake Master Cylinder. Take away the vacuum hose from the booster unit and disconnect its electrical connection to the stoplamp switch. Following that you must remove the Pushrod spain and the stoplamp switch itself. Unfasten the Brake Booster mounting nuts while also removing the Pushrod from the brake stud. You can then extract the entire vacuum booster unit. Remove the gasket from the vacuum booster unit. To install the booster begin by placing a new gasket on top and thread in the vacuum booster with its mounting nuts before tightening them to 36 nm (27 ft. Lbs.). Secure the Pushrod end to the brake pedal screw and place back the stoplamp switch before plugging in its wiring. Connect the vacuum hose to the booster last and put back the master cylinder while unbuttoning the parking brake.
