    Q:
How to replace the power brake booster on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before changing the power Brake Booster make sure you activate the park brake while blocking the wheels. Put the master cylinder from the booster beside the engine compartment after disconnecting its pipes but not removing them from the booster. Detach the power Brake Booster inlet hose together with the steering gear inlet hose and the power Brake Booster outlet hose from the booster unit assembly. The booster assembly removal requires first removing the stop lamp switch followed by the four booster to bulkhead nuts then extracting both components along with the gasket. First install the booster assembly after putting the new gasket into place. The installation requires tightening each of the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts to 36 n.m (26 lb ft). Install the master cylinder together with the stop lamp switch. Screw in the power Brake Booster outlet hose followed by the steering gear inlet hose and power Brake Booster inlet hose but tighten the inlet hoses to 28 n.m (20 lb ft) each. The process of bleeding the hydraulic booster system follows a complete release of the park brake and unblocking operations on wheels.

    Q:
How to replace the hydraulic brake booster on Chevrolet Express 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting the hydraulic Brake Booster replacement you must set up the park brake and block the wheels. When replacing the booster sediment you can move the master cylinder out but keep its pipes connected and place it in the engine space. You should disconnect the 3 hoses leading to the power Brake Booster assembly after unplugging the stop lamp switch and removing the 4 bulkhead nuts to take out the assembly along with its gasket. Put the new gasket in place and place the booster assembly. Tighten the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts to 36 nm (26 ft. Lbs.). Reverse the stop lamp switch position then secure the master cylinder. After that connect the power Brake Booster outlet hose plus steering gear and power Brake Booster inlet hose. Both inlet hoses require torque to 28 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) for final tightening. Last step is to drain hydraulic fluid from the booster system then free the brake and let the wheels move.
