    Q:
How can the Secondary Air Injection Pump be serviced and installed on Chevrolet K3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the secondary air injection (AIR) pump starts with Drive Belt removal followed by electrical connector and air air cleaner hose detachment at the pump and air output hose disconnection at the air pump. The bolted connection between the pump and mounting bracket gets removed to extract the pump from its location. The air pump installation requires users to first mount the pump on location then secure it using mounting bolts before reconnecting the electrical connector and attaching the output hose to the air pump followed by hooking up the air air cleaner hose to the pump before adding the pump Drive Belt.

    Q:
How to service the Secondary Air Injection Pump on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the air injection pump starts with bracing removal from the fender and cowl and disconnection of electrical connectors from the air pump , air solenoid valve , and Relay . Start the procedure by disassembling the hose clamp on the air shut-off valve hose then disconnecting the hose from the valve unit. The vacuum line needs to be taken out of the air solenoid valve before you can remove the air pump assembly hold down fastener and block. The procedure begins with post-release of the air pump rubber mounting posts from the pump then follows removal of hoses from the air pump before taking out the pump itself. Install the air pump so it rests on the rubber mounting posts then link the hoses to their respective points on the pump. Install the air pump assembly into the vehicle followed by fixing the air pump assembly hold down block together with fastener and applying 25.0 n.m (18 lb ft) torque to the fastener. Fasten the hose to the air shut-off valve by using a hose clamp. After connecting the electrical pins to the air pump and air solenoid valve and air pump Relay you can install the vacuum hose to the air solenoid valve. Reinstall the brace to the fender and cowl before performing a system test of the air system.
