    Q:
How to replace the power steering pump on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by taking off the Drive Belt before raising the vehicle while supporting it with a drain pan positioned below. Power steering pressure hose as well as power steering return hose and wiring harness need disconnecting from Power Steering Pump. The first step is to lower the vehicle before removing the coolant recovery reservoir and the Power Steering Pump retaining bolts to uninstall the Power Steering Pump. Transmission of the power steering pulley may be required in some cases. The Power Steering Pump should be placed onto the motor before installing its retaining bolts which should get tightened to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). The installation process should start with refitting the coolant recovery reservoir after which you should reposition the vehicle and reconnect all attachments including wiring harness and power steering pressure and return hoses while executing proper hose tightening to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Install the Drive Belt while lowering the vehicle and complete power steering system bleeding before conducting a leak inspection.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Pump on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle replacement of the Power Steering Pump begins with belt removal and vehicle height elevation with supporting devices. A drain pan should be positioned under the vehicle after which disconnect both the power steering pressure hose and return hose from the Power Steering Pump followed by disconnecting the wiring harness. After lowering the vehicle users must remove the coolant recovery reservoir before acquiring the Power Steering Pump retaining bolts and pumping it out alongside the power steering pulley maintenance. During installation position the Power Steering Pump on the engine and keep to the fastener notice before tightens its retaining bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The procedures include reattaching the coolant recovery reservoir followed by vehicle lift and then wire harness and pressure hose and return hose installation. All components must be tightened to 30 nm torque. After vehicle lowering the Drive Belt gets installed and the power steering system bleeds before inspecting for any system leaks.
