    Q:
How to replace the front door Weather Strip on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process to replace the front door Weather Strip starts with removing the body hinge pillar trim panel followed by disassembly of the windshield side upper garnish molding and the cargo area side trim panel along with the roof lift off window when equipped. Weather strips need to be freed from side door retainers after body side lift window screws are removed so the Weather Strip can be taken from flanges and retainers. The new side door Weather Strip installs by positioning it through the flange and retainers after which install the side door Weather Strip retainers. The lift window bugs should be equipped with body side Weather Strip screws that need to be fastened tightly to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The installation process begins by putting back the roof lift off window if such a feature exists followed by the cargo area side trim panel and then the windshield side upper garnish molding and lastly the body hinge pillar trim panel.

    Q:
How to replace the front door seal on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by opening the door to remove the old door sealing strip either through scraping with caution or using the heat gun (J 25070). Apply a water and iso-propanol mixture that is half and half or high-flash naptha followed by wiping it dry using a clean cloth. Proper adhesion of the new door sealing strip requires a temperature between 95 degrees +/- 5 degrees so install before using the heat gun (J 25070) to slightly heat the strip. Follow these steps to remove the protective liner from the sealing strip while positioning its bottom correctly because removing it requires new adhesive to attach to the vehicle. Apply pressure to the entire surface by starting at the rear edge of the door inner panel to insert the sealing strip until its bottom reaches the correct location.
