    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor in the 1500 Series on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacing process for the 1500 Series fuel level sensor starts with eliminating the fuel tank module. A small pick-like instrument should be used to unlock the retainer before you remove the electrical connector of the fuel level sensor from its module housing. Push the locking tangs of the level sensor directly into the module bucket space before lifting the fuel level sensor out of place. Install the new fuel level sensor by putting it into position before sliding it down for final engagement of the level sensor tangs at the bucket. Tap the retainer so it engages with the module cover while connecting the fuel level sensor electrical connector. Reinstall the fuel tank module after the completion of all installation procedures.

    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor for the 2500 with a 43.5L (11.5 Gal) tank on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the replacement of the fuel level sensor for a 2500 equipped with a 43.5L (11.5 Gal) tank at the rear by performing fuel tank module removal. Disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector under the module cover before releasing the retaining clip to slide the level sensor down off the bucket. The installation process requires sliding the fuel level sensor up the bucket while allowing it to enter the retaining tab followed by reconnecting the fuel level sensor electrical connector below the module cover then installing the fuel tank module.

    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first procedure when replacing the fuel level sensor is to remove the fuel tank module. A small pick-like tool should be used to push the retainer until the electrical connector becomes free. After that you can detach the fuel level sensor electrical connector from the module cover. Insert the locking tangs of the sensor towards the inside of the module bucket before pulling the sensor upward to extract it from the module. Use the installation step to position the new fuel level sensor downward into the module while maintaining proper engagement of the level sensor tangs into the bucket section. Install the fuel level sensor electrical connector to the module cover after confirming that the retainer properly engages with the module cover before putting back the fuel tank module.
