The first step to replace the right side Fuel Level Sensor involves removing the Fuel Tank module from the Fuel Tank and extracting the Fuel Tank module o-ring at the tank opening. Before taking out the level sensor wires from the Fuel Tank module users need to push down on the locking tab so they can disconnect the Fuel Level Sensor while making a mental note of its wire location relative to the inner connector. Install the Fuel Level Sensor by connecting its wires to the internal connector in the proper position before inserting the sensor into the Fuel Tank module until the lock clicks and makes sure the wires rest in the slot beneath it. You should install a new Fuel Tank module o-ring into the Fuel Tank opening before securely reattaching the Fuel Tank module to the Fuel Tank. See the digital multimeter to check the Fuel Tank module resistance values when you flip the tank upside down. The empty value must show 40 ohms and the full value must be 250 ohms. Finish the installation by joining the Fuel Tank pressure sensor cable and the fuel pump module cable and the evaporative emission line to the fuel pump module before attaching the right Fuel Tank.

You must depress the locking tab to detach the Fuel Level Sensor from the Fuel Tank module while observing where its wires should go before taking them off of the connector. The installation procedure requires correct wire placement at the internal connector before-inserting the Fuel Level Sensor into the Fuel Tank module until it clicks into position and validating that wires sit in the slots beneath the sensor. The Fuel Tank opening requires a new Fuel Tank module o-ring before reinstalling the Fuel Tank module onto the Fuel Tank. A digital multimeter should be used to check Fuel Tank module resistance during installation by inverting the Fuel Tank while measuring for 40 ohms when empty and 250 ohms when full. To finish the installation connect the Fuel Tank pressure (FTP) sensor harness connector and evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line to the fuel pump module followed by the fuel pump module harness connector before installing the right Fuel Tank.

Install a NEW fuel pump module O-ring to the fuel tank opening and reattach the left fuel tank module to the fuel tank.

Disconnect the fuel pump jumper harness, the jet line insert connector from the crossover tube, and the fuel feed line from the welded clip on the side of the fuel tank.

Press down on the locking tab to detach the level sensor from the module, noting the wire location in relation to the internal connector before removing the level sensor wires.

Return the tank to an upright position to ensure proper empty stop resistance, confirming that the level sender operates freely inside the tank without obstruction from internal lines.

Route the wires next to the regulator ground wire up to the electrical connector.
