    Q:
How to service and repair the fan shroud on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service and repair of the Fan Shroud starts with cooling fans removal through cooling fan replacement - electric procedures. The technician should first disconnect the cooling fan wiring harness from each cooling Fan Motor before pulling the cooling fan electrical harness away from the Fan Shroud. The service begins by removing first the cooling Fan Blade nut(s) and cooling Fan Blade(s) followed by removing the cooling Fan Motor(s) bolts to detach the cooling fan motors from the Fan Shroud. Begin fan installation by installing the cooling fan motors to the Fan Shroud according to the fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the cooling Fan Motor(s) bolt installation while tightening them to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). The service precautions specify that mounting of cooling fan blades must occur with caution per Fan Blade assembly caution along with the cooling Fan Blade nut(s) that should get torqued to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). The cooling fan electrical harness must be installed on the Fan Shroud before reconnecting the wiring harness with each cooling Fan Motor according to the cooling fan replacement - electric procedure.
