    Q:
How to replace the steering knuckle on an AWD on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Steering Knuckle on an awd vehicle, ensure that there is no spinning around. Enter the ball stud with hand tools when disassembling or reassembling it. Start by lifting and supporting the vehicle, and then take the tire and wheel. Next exit the wheel bearing hub, them the outer tie rod from the Steering Knuckle. Unfasten the brake hose bracket retaining bolts and then remove the Steering Knuckle in the upper Control Arm and drop it from the Control Arm. For installation; you mount the Steering Knuckle to the lower Control Arm as well as attaching it to the upper Control Arm. Replace the brake hose bracket retaining bolts, then the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle. Finally, the wheel bearing/hub, the tire and wheel, and bring the vehicle down.

    Q:
How to replace the steering knuckle in the rear suspension on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin rear suspension Steering Knuckle replacement by elevating the vehicle while providing support then stripping off the tire-wheel assembly. Lift the rear park brake cable from the knuckle to detach it before taking out the park Brake Backing Plate and adjustable link while maintaining support with a jack stand underneath the lower Control Arm rear spring. The procedure begins with removing the upper Ball Joint from the knuckle followed by the lower shock absorber bolt and the bolt connecting the lower Trailing Arm to the knuckle and finally the bolt that connects the lower Control Arm to the knuckle until the knuckle can be removed from the vehicle. Place the new knuckle on the lower Control Arm while installing the lower control bolt using adjustments made to the jack stand for finishing the upper Control Arm Bolt installation. The installation process begins with placing the upper Ball Joint in the knuckle then adds the lower shock absorber bolt and Trailing Arm bolt and adjustable link. Place the park Brake Backing Plate onto position followed by the park brake cable assembly installation at the knuckle bearing. Reinstall the tire along with its wheel assembly after removing support and lowering the vehicle down.
