    Q:
How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start Coolant Reservoir service and repair by draining part of the engine coolant. You need to disconnect both the surge tank inlet hose from its surge tank location and the connector from its Coolant Level Sensor connection point. Remove the secondary air relay bracket mounting nuts before you uninstall the secondary air relay bracket . The hose clamp remover/installer tool (J 37097-A) will remove the surge tank outlet hose during this process. Begin surge tank installation by removing the surge tank mounting screws followed by its nuts to extract the tank. To perform installation put the surge tank above the wheelhouse's two studs before tightening surge tank bolts to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). After installing the surge tank nuts follow the same torque procedure. Avatel j 37097-a enables you to join the surge tank outlet hose to the surge tank using its tool once again. Place the secondary air relay bracket over locomotive studs while securing it through its two secondary air relay bracket nuts to a torque of 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Finish up by connecting the sensor connector and hooking back the surge tank inlet hose to the tank. Once complete, fill the cooling system.
