    Q:
How to replace the throttle body assembly on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
Successful Throttle Body assembly replacement requires careful handling of electronic throttle control elements alongside an avoidance of tools to maintain throttle plate position. Start by taking off the intake manifold cover after removing the air cleaner outlet duct. Disconnect the electronic throttle control (ETC) electrical connector, and eliminate the heater inlet and outlet pipe clip nuts from the Throttle Body studs. The heating hoses/pipe should be relocated before removing the Throttle Body bolts/studs along with the Throttle Body itself using a new gasket for replacement. The installation requires a fresh Throttle Body Gasket which needs to sit with its locating tab in position against the manifold notch. Screw the Throttle Body to the intake manifold while tightening bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Secure the hose clamps afterward installing the heater inlet and outlet pipe clip nuts onto the Throttle Body studs by tightening them to 10 nm (89 lb in). Verify proper installation of the throttle actuator motor harness connector and its seal before connecting the etc electrical connector. Place back the air cleaner outlet duct while replacing the intake manifold cover. A scan tool should be connected to check throttle functions by operating the pedal from wot to closed positions. Perform the throttle learn procedure only when the vehicle remains outside reduced engine power mode and ignition stands at on and engine status shows off.

How to replace the throttle body assembly on Cadillac DTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to replace the Throttle Body assembly, carefully deal with electronic throttle control parts, so as not to damage or drop or expose them to cleaning solvents. From there, remove the fuel injector sight shield then the air cleaner outlet duct. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube quick connect fitting from the camshaft cover and the air cleaner outlet duct, then disconnect the pcv fresh air tube. Next one should disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the throttle actuator, remove the transaxle vent hose clip, and the tslane shift cable clip from the shift cable bracket, and the pass the Throttle Body bolts. Once done, remove the shift cable bracket and the Throttle Body itself, dispose off the Throttle Body seal. For installation, take an initial Throttle Body seal, place the Throttle Body and the shift cable bracket, and install the Throttle Body bolts by tightening them up to 10 nm and 89 lb in. When installing the transaxle shift cable clip and transaxle vent hose clip to the shift cable bracket and connect the engine harness electrical connector to the throttle actuator. Install and hook up the pcv fresh air tube under the vacuum brake booster hose and the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge valve before routing the pcv piping, hooking up the quick connect fittings to the camshaft cover and the air cleaner outlet duct. Finally reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct and fuel injector sight shield and do throttle learn.
