Drain Tube

The initial step to change the condenser tube requires recovering refrigerant from the a/c system. Unbolt the electronic brake control module after which you should loosen the condenser tube fitting nut attached to the evaporator tube extension to disconnect the condenser tube from the evaporator tube extension. The first step requires disconnecting the condenser tube from both the condenser and condenser tube block fitting by removing its bolt. The condenser tube retaining clips need removal from the car body structure followed by condenser tube extraction. To start installation work begin with fitting the new condenser tube and installing its retaining clips onto the vehicle body. Start by cleaning both sides of the a/c refrigerant line and component surfaces using a lint-free clean dry cloth. After that install the new o-ring seals while coating them with a small amount of mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil. Secure the condenser tube through proper connection before tightening its block fitting bolt to 27 n.m (20 lb ft). Connect the condenser tube fitting nut with the evaporator tube extension before tightening it to 44 n.m (33 lb ft). The procedure includes installing the electronic brake control module before performing a system evacuation and recharge and completing the labor instruction sequence for fitting examinations with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).

Reinstall the evaporator access panel and its screws, ensuring they are fully seated and not stripped.

Disconnect the quick connect fitting from the compressor hose and discharge hose, followed by the A/C high pressure switch and A/C pressure sensor electrical connectors.
