    Q:
How to replace the A/C Hose Assembly on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of the compressor hose assembly begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by air cleaner and duct assembly removal. The compressor hose line nut of both the accumulator and the condenser must be removed for recovery of refrigerant before placing each line aside. Support the vehicle as you eliminate the lower air deflector but remember to discard both old o-rings and sealing washers. The first step involves removing the compressor hose bolt at the compressor before extracting the compressor hose assembly. The first step for installation requires you to mount the new compressor hose assembly while applying mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to lubricate both the new o-rings and sealing washers. Install new o-rings and sealing washers onto the compressor hose assembly while you attach it to the rear of the compressor unit so tighten the compressor hose bolt to 27 n.m (20 lb ft). Reinstall the lower air deflector then lower the vehicle and attach the compressor hose to the condenser by tightening its nut to 27 n.m (20 lb ft). Tighten the compressor hose nut connecting the accumulator to 16 n.m (11 lb ft). You must evacuate and recharge the system followed by leak inspection before you replace the air cleaner assembly and ducts while reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
