Exhaust Pipe

Vehicle elevation is the first step in replacing an Exhaust Pipe so users must follow all safety procedures and use protective goggles and gloves. Uninstall the nuts which attach the Exhaust Pipe flange to the catalytic converter pipe and Muffler while extracting the Exhaust Pipe and both flange gaskets. Install new gaskets on the Muffler flange and catalytic converter pipe flange before fixing the Exhaust Pipe into place. Connect the Muffler to Exhaust Pipe by installing its nuts, then connect the catalytic converter pipe to Exhaust Pipe with its nuts before torquing all flange nuts to 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Before lowering the vehicle check that every exhaust component maintains its proper position and clearance.

Vehicle servicing for the Exhaust Pipe starts with position and support of the vehicle using safety stands. Start by removing the Exhaust Pipe clamp that holds the tailpipe to the Muffler rear before taking out both the exhaust hanger and tailpipe from the vehicle. Please reposition the tailpipe onto the vehicle before installing the rear Muffler clamp that needs tightening to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). End the process by removing safety stands while the vehicle lowers to the ground.
