    Q:
How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve-auxiliary on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary is Evaporator core-auxiliary removal following by the removal of foam insulators from both auxiliary lines and the auxiliary valve. A back up wrench allows users to loosen flare nuts from the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary then they should detach the auxiliary thermal expansion valve sensing bulb and retaining clip from the Evaporator core-auxiliary lines. The installation starts by removing the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary unit from the Evaporator core-auxiliary circuits while the technician compares and disposes of the o-ring seals from the Evaporator core-auxiliary system and ensures to cap or tape the lines to avoid contamination. First cut off tape or cap from Evaporator core-auxiliary lines before adding a new o-ring to install the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary. The technician must use a back up wrench to tighten the flare nuts to 5 n.m (44 lb in). Afterward install foam insulators on both the Evaporator core-auxiliary lines and the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary before reattaching the Evaporator core-auxiliary.

    Q:
How to properly service the A/C Expansion Valve on a GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure to replace a thermal expansion value begins by removing the Evaporator core auxiliary followed by eliminating foam insulators from Evaporator core auxiliary lines and thermal expansion value auxiliary. Begin by loosening the flare nuts from the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary using a back up wrench before removing its sensing bulb that comes with a retaining clip from the Evaporator core-auxiliary lines. After removing the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary, carefully take it out of the Evaporator core-auxiliary before disposing of its o-ring seals while using caps or tape to seal the lines from Evaporator core-auxiliary contamination. Uncover the Evaporator core-auxiliary lines by removing their cap or tape to start installation while adding new o-rings and attaching the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary to these lines. The installation of foam insulators on both the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary and Evaporator core-auxiliary lines proceeds with back up wrench settings for 5 n.m (44 lb in).
