    Q:
How to replace the rear door Weather Strip on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the repair requires removing the carpet retainer and three panels: center pillar upper trim panel, center pillar lower trim panel, rear quarter upper trim panel, and body lock pillar trim panel. The door opening Weather Strip must be pulled from the body flange of the door opening while holding it to be able to remove it. Use 3m(TM) adhesive remover p/n 8984 or an equivalent product to clean adhesive from the body flange. A small amount of the gm Weather Strip adhesive specified as p/n 12345096 along with other equivalent products should be applied to the Weather Strip before aligning its color-dot toward the door opening's top rear section for a final full compression. Move forward with Weather Strip installation by pushing the Weather Strip in a clockwise pattern around the door opening. Place back the rear quarter upper trim panel followed by body lock pillar trim panel and center pillar lower trim panel and center pillar upper trim panel and carpet retainer.
