Start with disconnecting the battery negative wire and then proceed with the battery positive connection. Detach the remote positive stud cover from the underhood accessory wiring junction block while also removing the battery (positive) cable junction block lead nut and the battery (positive) cable. Properly raise and support the vehicle while carrying out the installation process. Detach the starter motor BAT terminal of the battery positive cable while also removing the front lower air deflector. Take out the battery positive cable from its retainer position on the radiator support after releasing the cable retainers then remove the battery cable wiring harness conduit from the cable retainers. You should place the battery positive cable into the wiring harness conduit then replace the battery cable retainers on the radiator support. Fasten the battery positive cable to the starter motor BAT terminal by securing the starter solenoid BAT terminal nut at 10 N.m (84 lb in). Install the front lower air deflector followed by vehicle lowering then attach both the battery positive cable and battery (positive) cable junction block lead nut to the underhood accessory wiring junction block while tightening the lead nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Position the remote positive stud cover followed by connecting the battery positive cable to the battery and securing the terminal bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft). Last step is to connect the battery negative cable.
