How to service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

Starting by turning off the ignition and removing the fuel injection sight shield is the first step to service the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. To access the maf sensor you must disconnect its electrical connector from the sensor and unscrew the screws that keep the sensor in place on the Throttle Body. Affix the new maf sensor to the Throttle Body after securing it per fastener notice in service precautions but before following the procedure steps. Fasten and tighten the maf sensor with screws to 3 nm (27 lb in). Reinstall the fuel injection sight shield after reconnecting the electrical connector to its location on the maf sensor .
