How to replace the power seat switch on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

The SIR system needs disabler before starting the switch replacement. Reaching the power seat switch requires removing the seat cushion but you should avoid removing the lumbar switch knob to prevent breakage. The flat bladed tool serves to carefully remove the knobs from their place. The Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) helps remove push-in retainers from beneath the seat cushion frame while also allowing removal of the power seat switch bezel. J channel mounting retainers on the seat cushion cover must be released to reveal the power seat switch bracket inside the seat frame. After removing the power seat switch bracket push-in fasteners using Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778), complete the task by extracting the power seat switch along with bracket from the seat cushion frame while remembering the wire harness path to avoid future damage. Separate the electrical connectors from the power seat switches before using a flat bladed tool to unfasten them from the bracket. Re-position the wiring harness in its original place then connect power seat switches to their electrical connectors before placing inserts the power seat switch into the switch bracket. Sliding the switch bracket mount into the seat frame should be followed by securing the bracket then the switches with retainers and finishing with seating the cover onto the operating switches. Seam the power seat switch bezels above their respective position before fastening each of the power seat switch bezel retainers into place. After slotting back the seat cushion you must follow by enabling the SIR system and installing power seat switch knobs.
