2000 Buick LeSabre Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Secondary Air Injection Pump on 2000 Buick LeSabre?
A: Service of the air injection pump starts by releasing the pinch clamp from the air exhaust pipe hose followed by disconnecting the exhaust hose from the pump. Commence by disconnecting the air pump electrical connector then remove the 3 nuts which hold the air pump bracket onto the transmission mount. Take away the air pump combined with its bracket from the transmission mount. Seal the air pump with the transmission mount bracket by using 3 nuts which should be torqued to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Connect the air pump electrical connector followed by hose lubrication of the inner exhaust side and attachment to the pump outlet port. Position the pinch clamp across the last two components at the air pump outlet port and exhaust hose joint.
