    Q:
How to Replace the Secondary Air Injection Pump on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
First loosen the pinch clamp on the secondary air injection (AIR) exhaust pipe hose then disconnect the air exhaust hose from the air pump and the air pump electrical connector . First unscrew the 3 bracket-nuts connecting the air pump bracket to the transmission mount before extracting the air pump assembly with bracket. The installation process requires fastening the air pump as well as its bracket onto the transmission mount through three secure nuts tight enough at 50 n.m (37 lb ft). The first step is to connect the air pump electrical connector while applying light lubricant to the inner side of the air pump outlet hose and attaching it to the air pump outlet port. Connect the pinch clamp around the air pump outlet port and exhaust hose connection.

    Q:
How to Properly Service and Replace the Secondary Air Injection Pump on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
The installation of a new secondary air injection (AIR) pump begins with loosening the pinch clamp on the air exhaust pipe hose and unhinging the air exhaust hose from the air pump. The procedure starts by disconnecting the electrical connector of the air pump while removing three mounting nuts that connect the air pump bracket to the transmission mount. Detach the air pump together with its bracket while they function as an assembly unit. The installation process requires you to fix the air pump together with bracket onto the transmission mount via three securing nuts tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque setting. The electrical connection to the air pump should be installed before applying light lubrication to the air pump outlet hose interior followed by attaching the exhaust hose to the outlet port. Place the pinch clamp around the junction of the air pump outlet port and the exhaust hose.
