A: In order to replace the accumulator, first remove the air cleaner and duct assembly and take out the cross vehicle brace if installed. Recover the refrigerant and then pull out the suction hose nut from the accumulator and move the suction hose out of the way. Then, pull off the compressor hose nut from the accumulator and lay the compressor hose aside. Next, you need to remove the bracket bolt for the accumulator and remove the accumulator. To install, the new accumulator should be placed in position and install the accumulator bracket bolt with a tightness of 4 n.m (36 lb in). Apply a mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the new o-ring seals and the seal washers then fit the new o-ring seal on to the oil compressor hose and the suction hose. Connect the suction hose to the accumulator and tighten the suction hose nut to 47 n.m (35 lb ft). Connect the compressor hose to accumulator and tighten with compressor hose nut to 16 n.m (12 LB FT). Evacuate and charge, then check for leaks. Lastly, replace the cross vehicle brace if available and the air cleaner and duct assembly.
