2000 Cadillac Catera Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the air temperature sensor in the HVAC module on 2000 Cadillac Catera?
A: The temperature sensors placed in lh duct and rh duct matter position inside the hvac module above the floor outlet connection point. The first step involves removing the sound insulator (driver side shown) and front floor air outlet from the hvac module. You need to rotate the temperature sensor 180 degrees before you take it out of the air distribution module so you can disconnect its electrical connector. Drill the electrical connector to the temperature sensor before placing the temperature sensor into the air distribution module and twisting it 180 degrees for installation. To finish the installation process reinstall both the front floor air outlet and sound insulator that is located on the driver side.
