How to service the rear door stationary window channel on 2000 Cadillac Catera?

Service procedures for the rear door stationary window/division channel start with removing the door trim panel, water deflector, inner and outer belt sealing strips along with the door window Weather Strip. First detach the vent window screws and division channel. Pull the channel from window and door before removing weather strips and vent window. Position the window inside the door before inserting the vent window/division channel Weather Strip into the opening. Then put the Weather Strip through the door making sure the channel seats on the window correctly. Secure the channel screws by turning each vent window screw to 7 n.m compression. Put the door window Weather Strip back after reinstalling its inner and outer belt seals along with water deflector and trim panel.
